Johnny Walker, GASRO Vice President

Johnny B. Walker, Jr. was born in Albany, GA and grew up in Sumner, GA, which is located in Worth County, GA. He attended Worth County Comprehensive High School where he graduated in May of 1999. He began his law enforcement career in May of 2005 at Sylvester Police Department as a Patrol Officer. His reason for wanting to get into law enforcement was because he wanted to make a difference in the community by helping people. After successfully completing his employment contract with the City of Sylvester, he moved on to Terrell County Sheriff Office in July of 2006 as a Deputy Sheriff assigned to road patrol. In August of 2008, he was assigned to the Terrell County School System as the School Resource Officer. Currently, Johnny serves as the Chief of Police for Randolph County School Police.  Johnny has a true passion working with children and doing anything he can to help them. Johnny is married to Laurice and they one daughter, Lauryn. Johnny is a member of Sherwood Baptist Church, in Albany, GA, where he serves on the Security Ministry.  Johnny is also an active member of St. Mark Masonic Lodge # 59, Prince Hall Affiliation, where he serves as Past Master and Beatrice Chapter # 30, Order of the Eastern Star, where he is a Past Worthy Patron. His motto is that life is not about the amount of awards you receive, but it is doing what you love and seeing the true reward from God in the end.
